During a search for properties in the Costa Blanca area, we came across Search and Survey, a company that offered a complete range of services from location of properties through closing of the purchase. Before signing a purchase agreement for a house we found in Altea, we hired them to complete a physical survey and revision of the legal aspects of the title. The physical revision passed with a clean report, but the property’s registered title did not coincide with the several modifications to the infrastructures, so we canceled the purchase. This due diligence investigation saved us from being liable for a large sum of money due to fines and unpaid taxes. On top of that, we got the deposit back, along with an equal amount for the penalty clause. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing property in the Costa Blanca area to first contact them for being an agent for acquiring a property. Ian, Manalo, and Alex, thank you so much for your superb efforts on saving us a bunch of funds and headaches. Also, for helping to find and secure a second property that we did purchase and are enjoying.

I first purchased a property with Search and Survey 17 years ago. I received excellent information and care through the whole procedure right through to completion.The staff are extremely helpful and professional. Any queries that I had were dealt with efficiently and speedily. So in 2024 I again sold my property but also bought a new one with Search and Survey. Obviously the staff had changed or some of them had, but they were still very efficient and professional and lovely people to deal with. We decided to work with Search & Survay to purchase a property in Calpe due the lack of centralized real estate database there - and it was a right move. Ian and his team personally know reliable local agents, so we could find a property during a short visit to Calpe from the US. They also helped us trough the whole purchase process including underwriting, opening a bank account, inspections and closing. After that S&S also handled property registration and utilities transfer. Finally Ian kindly introduced us to a good remodeling contractor. Overall the S&S team made this complex transaction efficient and stress free. Their services are highly appreciated and recommended.

My experience with Search an Survey Spain was excellent. They helped us purchase a flat in Valencia. They accompanied us to the Notary, Bank and acted as our Power of Attorney at the closing of the sale. If you want to purchase in Spain and not have doubts about process and property, use Search and Survey. We first contacted Search and Survey and began conversations with Alex Lewis a year before our actual purchase trip. We were educated on processes of buying, educated on how to search and see real estate. When we went for our first scouting trips we always met with Alex. On our very first trip they helped us through the process of setting up banking, NIE and more. Extremely helpful and efficient through this entire process. Finally it came time to actually find our forever Spanish home, this is where they truly shined. We were limited on time to see and make a decision, but that was no problem. Jen, the wonder worker, scheduled multiple viewings for 4 days straight. Alex accompanied me to all and helped navigate any issues. After making an offer, they completely helped in the process of closing and all that it entails. I don’t feel like I hired a company, we feel like we made friends. Grateful for the professionalism but more grateful for the absolute investment they made into our process. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Ian the director is a total fraud. He took my 600 euros and kept sending me peripheral apartments, even though I clearly stated that I did not want them. When we started, he mentioned that the apartment wouldn’t be in the best area, but he never told me it would be in the most dangerous one. He kept ignoring my requests completely. Please, do not engage with this company—they are not serious at all. You will definitely lose your money for nothing. When I ask for a refund he completely declined even do he did nothing for this money.
