There is a lot involved when you buy property in Spain as a foreigner. Abaco advisers has been our gestor since 2018. They handled the purchase of our apartment just fine, applied for our NIE number and took care of the administration of all utilities. Rental license applied for and now also arranged our digital key and NRAs. All this as agreed and at a fast pace. I can recommend ABACO to everyone.

Absolutely 100% positive. We have used Abaco since 2003 and can honestly say they have been so good, so easy to work with, communication has been excellent, advise always great. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Everyone we have dealt with speaks English which is so important, especially those who have no Spanish like us. I had a lawyer at Abaco Advisers handle the inheritance of a property in Malaga while I was living in Japan. She collaborated with the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo and provided me clear guidance for what I need to do. All the necessary procedures were conducted remotely except for the part that I need to go to the Spanish Embassy. All went well and I truly appreciated Abaco's legal service.

I have no hesitation in recommending Abaco. We needed a lawyer after my Dad passed away unexpectedly. My parents did not have a lawyer so we went to Abaco to help us deal with all the legalities. We were living in the UK and had no one in Spain who would help us on our behalf. There was endless emails to and fro to Abaco and no question went un answered. It was a long process as we needed to sell my parents property after moving my Mum back to the UK. We also had power of attorney which was a simple process to organise. If anyone needs a lawyer I would absolutely suggest this company. Jessica and then Monica are both the best. Very professional and thorough company to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. I speak very little Spanish, so for me it was a big hurdle to buy a property in Spain. I don't recommend this company. Their price tag was ridiculously higher, while explanations provided were vague and inconsistent. They struggled to reply on reasonable time to our questions and it took 2 weeks of useless backs and forths by email to discuss very basic and simple issues. They also made a critical mistake when preparing documents for the real estate deal, putting themselves as a beneficiary of the deal instead of us. Luckily it was spotted by us at the very last moment before signing. We ended up by refusing to take their service and decided to work with another agency that saved us 1000 eur on consultancy fees and another 600 eur on notary.

Engaged Abaco for the purchase of property in Torrevieja. Dealt with Claire, who was always at hand to discuss any concerns. discovered minor issues with property, which were thankfully resolved, however had the potential to cause issue had they not been discovered. In addition, I had to make some changes to the purchase process, very close to the closing date. This was not an issue for Abaco, who were able to accommodate this last moment change. I would recommend Claire and Abaco for their efficiency and communication throughout the process and being a non resident meant I needed an English speaking firm, which of course Abaco are.

If you are looking for legal services in Spain Abaco Advisers are the best. I used their services for a very complicated inheritance process. My attorney Marina was exceptional. She kept me informed every step of the way, answered my numerous emails promptly and never once made me feel like my case was unimportant. Another benefit of using their services is that all communication was in my own language which in my case was a huge plus. My only regret was that I never found them earlier in my search for experienced attorneys.

Al maanden probeer ik via mail in contact te komen met een persoon die mij kan helpen , tevergeefs nooit antwoord door personeelswissel en niet op de hoogte zijn van mijn dossier. Voor elke handeling die ze vergeten betaal je extra . Ben heel ontgoocheld in deze firma en wacht alweer weken op antwoord op een zeer dringende zaak die ze vergeten zijn bij de aankoop van mijn app

Wat mij betreft een zeer onbetrouwbare partner, deze firma stond de koper bij die mijn appartement zou kopen. Er was een contract opgesteld en de verkoopprijs stond er ook in, de overdracht zou plaatsvinden zoals was afgesproken eind maart 2024 wat voor mij en de koper prima was. Paar weken geleden een mail gestuurd dat eind maart goed was en de koper een voorschot zou overmaken van 3K en na twee weken niets meer te hebben gehoord heb ik gisteravond een bericht gestuurd. En wat blijkt, de advocaat was op vakantie en laat per WhatsApp weten vanochtend dat de koper zonder enige vorm van overleg en reden van de koop afziet. Dit wist de de advocaat Paloma natuurlijk al voordat zij op vakantie ging. Wat onbetrouwbaar kantoor en totaal geen excuses vanuit Paloma vanwege het achterwege laten van het annuleren en het onbetrouwbare gedrag van hun cliënt.

On the 5th December 2022 I booked a consultation call. They didn't call! I emailed to ask for an explanation, they just sent an automated reply. On the 30th January they finally emailed to apologise for the length of time it took to reply. (by then I had completed on a property with another very efficient company)

Ужасный опыт! Нерасторопные, за каждой бумажкой надо было постоянно дергать, напоминать, документация готовилась долго, если не перезвонить или не написать, дело не двигалось с места. Не профессионалы, я каждый раз должна была им говорить, какие бумаги надо подготовить. И при всем этом адвокат была русскоговорящая. Ни кому не посоветую эту контору, все придется делать самому.

Like other reviewers I got ripped off by their hidden fees whilst buying a property. Please please do not use them. I have bought more properties in Spain and had a much better service at a fraction of the price from other companies.

13 jaar klant geweest en hun altijd goed betaalt maar toen we de woning zelf verkochten er hun vroegen om de laatste belastingzaken wilde ze die niet meer doen omdat ze ook de verkoop niet hadden gedaan...... Echt onbeschoft als je 13 jaar lang klant bent geweest en voor alles een dikke vette rekening krijgt.

Hello, we bought an appartment in Spain and we where recomended to Abaco Advisers. Well this was the most horrible experience we had. The women who took care of us (Petra) is just very unhelpfull and rude. The only thing she can say, is that she has no time for us and to ask money , and believe me this company is very expensieve, and for the rest she never calls back, never answering emails as well. They give no service to the clients and are overpriced I would'nt recomend them to anyone. They even not deserve one star. Stay away from there. Very unhappy clients

Where do I start! I cannot recommend Abaco Advisers any higher. The company and the team have been phenomenal. Back in 2017, my mum passed away. We are a very close family and this really hit us hard emotionally. She has a villa which was left to us in her will. There were a few complications which I don’t need to go in to but Abaco (Mónica Guilló) helped us through this very difficult time. Abaco completed the process of dealing with mums estate very successfully so their job was complete with so much care and compassion. The villa was in good shape but we had a major water leak at the poolside back in 2018. Luckily not in the villa! The water was cut off as we were not there when this leak occurred. We then had a massive water bill that needed paying before the water would be switched back on (after the leak was fixed of course). Of course, when the deeds were changed to the beneficiary’s, the habitation certificate needed to be updated. This sparked off a few issues with the town hall as it turned out that the pool didn’t have planning (mum bought the villa in 2004 with the pool already installed). So in this case, the water company would not switch the water back on until there was a valid habitation certificate. I was informed that this was being dealt with. I personally wasn’t informed that there was any other problems with regards to the villa as I was not the main contact for the upkeep of the villa. Then COVID hit and none of us were able to travel to Spain or do anything about anything. In the beginning of 2021, I took it upon myself to find out exactly what was happening with the villa. This is when I got hold of Abaco again. It turned out that nothing had been done from the person who was the main contact for looking after the villa. No bills had been paid from 2018 (all sumas, electric, water, etc). We were in a real mess. Mónica was amazing. She helped with everything. She got her colleagues involved (Jessica, Martin) and sorted everything out. We paid all the bills, sorted out architect for the pool and now we have planning permission with help from a third party company local to the villa, we were granted the habitation certificate which meant we could get the utilities turned back on, sorted out house insurance and this all took around 6 months to complete. There was not a day that went past over the whole 6 months that there was not an email informing me of what to do next or just informing me of what has been completed. So informative, so helpful and made a very difficult and emotional journey very easy to deal with. As I said before, I can’t rate Mónica and Abaco any higher and all I can say is a massive THANK YOU for all you have done for us. My brothers and I are now enjoying and carrying on my mums legacy as she would have wanted.

Be careful, here you pay extra for every service! Instead of the specified €1200, we had to pay around €2500 for the great "consultation". Abaco takes the fee in advance and also bills for services that were never provided. We were charged €500 for help with the NIE tax number charged extra. This company promises a lot and delivers little. Poor service and overpriced. Stay away!

My friend used Ábaco advisers to deal with a property donation. Jessica Martínez was very helpful and dealt with emails very quickily, she arranged the Notary and all the paperwork that was needed. Everything went very smoothly and can't thank her enough for her help. A bonus was that funds paid into their account for their work, on completion a large amount was returned! The most useless bunch I’ve ever come across. Don’t respond to emails, inaccurate information. Finally got a response from one, then she quit, then the other wouldn’t respond. One of the most frustrating experiences ever, and caused me to miss my tax return deadline. Had to find someone else. I really have no idea how they have more than 2 stars here. All I needed was a tax return completed. Completely incompetent.

I dealt with Mónica Guilló at the Torrevieja branch. She was the most professional solicitor I have dealt with in 20 years of using solicitors in Spain. Replied to all emails really fast, it was a real pleasure, thank you, perfect service. My transaction was completed in a matter of weeks but please remember solicitors are also reliant on other solicitors, notary and police for NIE numbers etc so even if you have the best solicitor things can still take a long time. I thought I would add she was better than any solicitor I have used in the UK as well.
